Cell phone necessity

I grew up for sixteen years without a cell phone. I was probably the last one out my friends to get one. I got a cell phone when i turned seventeen and have never looked back. After I got my cell it became a part of me in a way. I take it everywhere I go and almost feel naked without it. I use it to talk to my friends and family through calling primarily and texting. When my phone went into the washing machine a month ago I didn't know what to do. I had to go two days without it. The funny thing is that I went crazy without it. For two days I felt disconnected from the world and felt great inconvenience. I really gained an appreciation for it through this experience.
